PIR Sensor
Presence detection as the basis for automatic control
The PIR Sensor detects presence in a room and transmits this information to the central controller. This allows the building to react automatically, for example by adjusting lighting or climate control to the actual use of the space.

Product description
Detection
The PIR Sensor detects movement and transmits it to the building management system for automatic control of lighting and climate. The device is available with three lens types: Slight Motion (SM) for small movements, Wide Area (WA) for a broad detection area, and Long Distance (LD) for large distances and high ceilings. An integrated light intensity sensor and adjustable LED indication are standard. All time logic and conditions are determined centrally.
Communication
The sensor connects to the central controller via I/O, DALI-2, or Modbus RTU. The Modbus variant communicates via RS485, with address, baud rate, and parity set via the built-in DIP switches. The I/O variant has a digital output for detection and an analog output (0–10 V) for light intensity. A localization function helps to find the device via the building management system.
Design and mounting
The sensor is available in flush-mounted and surface-mounted versions and is designed for ceiling mounting with a wide input voltage range. The optimal installation height varies depending on the lens type.
