The Room Controller brings the technical functions of a single room together in one central location. Heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, and sensors can thus be clearly connected and centrally controlled from the building management system.

All technologies integrated

The Room Controller brings all technologies in a room together at a single point. Heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, and sensors are each connected individually to the controller. From that central point, only one connection runs to the building management system. This significantly simplifies cabling and makes management and maintenance more transparent. The controller is available as an I/O variant and an I/O + DALI-2 variant, the latter of which directly controls DALI-2 lighting.

Communication

The connection to the central control system uses the Modbus RTU protocol. Settings such as the Modbus address and properties like baud rate and parity are configured via DIP switches on the module itself. This allows the controller to fit into existing installations without adjustments to the central control system.

Installation and testing

DIP switches and LED indicators allow for functional tests before commissioning. During installation and maintenance, all connected devices can be tested directly without intervention from the building management system. LED indicators on each input and output provide immediate status feedback for every connected device, while the control strategy remains centralised. The module is mounted on a DIN rail.
